Definizione

This prison was located on 155 Via Tasso in Rome. It was headed by Colonel Herbert Koppler and served as a prison and interrogation center of the German Gestapo. It was infamous for the torture and atrocities committed in the prison on Jewish and non-Jewish inmates and anti fascist resistors. The prison and the surrounding area of Rome were liberated by the US Army on June 4, 1944. (en-US)
