Meclemburgo-Strelitz (Germania : State) CercaDefinizione
Definition:
Capital city: Neustrelitz
Situated in north-central Germany and separated into two parts, Mecklenburg-Strelitz bordered several German states and provinces. The northwestern part of the state, known as the Ratzeburg province, was bordered by the state of Mecklenburg-Schwerin to the northeast and east, by the free city of Lübeck to the northwest, and by the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein to the southwest and south. The larger, eastern part of the state, known as the Strelitz province, was surrounded by the Prussian provinces of Pomerania to the north and northeast and Brandenburg to the southeast, south, and southwest.
Beginning with the Congress of Vienna (1814-15), the political development of Mecklenburg-Strelitz mirrored that of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. (en-US)
