Definizione

Descendants of Jews who lived in Spain or Portugal before the expulsion of 1492. Sephardic Jewry employs Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) as its language and has many traditions and practices that differ from Ashkenazi Jewry. Sephardic Jewry is centered in Western and Southern Europe and along the Mediterranean Sea. (en-US)
