Definizione

A conflict that began on October 6, 1973, when Egyptian and Syrian forces launched a coordinated surprise attack on Israeli installations on the Sinai peninsula and the Golan Heights. Following a series of military setbacks, Israeli forces reversed the losses and pushed into Arab territory. Secret negotiations brought an end to the hostilities on October 22, 1973. (en-US)
