German troops penetrate Soviet territory reaching the Caucasus and the Volga river. The German 6th army surrenders at Stalingrad in January. Kiev is liberated on November 6. Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, and Joseph Stalin meet in Tehran (Iran) for strategic discussions on November 28. As Soviet forces advance westwards, more and more Jews are taken to slave labor camps in Belorussia and Greater Germany. (en-US)
