Definizione

Located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy, the capital of this small province is Gorizia. It is bordered by Yugoslavia (Slovenia) in the east, by Trieste in the southeast, by the Gulf of Trieste in the south and by the province of Udine in the west. The province of Gorizia lost some of its territory to Yugoslavia in the peace treaty of 1947. (en-US)
