Definizione

Capital city: Munich (München) Situated in southwestern Germany, Bavaria was bordered by Czechoslovakia to the northeast and east, by Austria to the southeast and south, by the states of Württemberg to the west, Baden to the southwest, Hesse to the northwest, Thuringia to the north, and Saxony to the northeast, and by the Prussian province of Hesse to the northwest. After World War II Bavaria became part of the American occupation zone. The Palatinate, a former Bavarian province, was detached and merged with the new state of Rheinland-Pfalz.
